Privacy Policy

Moments ("we", "our", the "app") is built and operated by an independent developer based in Indonesia. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use Moments, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights over your data.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address, a chosen nickname, and (optionally) a profile photo. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.

Profile preferences

During onboarding you may provide your home country and city, hobbies, food preferences, vibe preferences, and budget. These are used to personalize plan recommendations.

Plans, photos, and prompts

Plans you create, places you select, photo captures ("moments") you upload, and AI-generated capture prompts are stored in our database and storage buckets. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage.

Push notification tokens

If you grant permission, we store an Expo push token to deliver capture prompts at the right moment during a plan.

Usage data

We log basic events (e.g. plan completions, discovery searches) to understand how the app is used and to improve it. This data is tied to your user ID but is not sold to third parties.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the core service: planning, prompts, capture, recap.
  • To personalize recommendations based on your preferences.
  • To send capture prompts via push notification while a plan runs.
  • To respond to support requests sent to support@try-moments.com.
  • To diagnose bugs and improve performance.

3. Third-party services

Moments relies on third-party providers to:

  • Host your account and data.
  • Generate AI-assisted plan suggestions and capture prompts.
  • Search for venues and render maps.
  • Deliver push notifications.

We share only the minimum data needed for each function. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and process data solely on our behalf. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. If you want specifics about which providers we use, email support@try-moments.com.

4. Data sharing within plans

When you invite a partner or friends to a plan, the people you invite can see the plan, the places, the prompts, and any photos captured by any participant. They cannot see your other plans or other photos.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Hapus akun inside the app. When you delete your account:

  • Your profile, plans, plan steps, prompts, and moments are deleted.
  • Photos you uploaded are removed from storage.
  • Couple/group links you were part of are dissolved.
  • The deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Note: photos that other participants captured during a plan you owned will also be deleted (along with the plan). Photos you captured in other people's plans are deleted from those plans as well.

6. Your rights

You can:

  • Access and edit your profile from inside the app.
  • Export your captured photos by saving them from the moments tab.
  • Delete your account at any time (see section 5).
  • Email support@try-moments.com for any other privacy request.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database row-level security restricts access so users can only read their own plans, their couple's plans, and plans they were explicitly invited to. We do not implement end-to-end encryption for stored content.

8. Children

Moments is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For significant changes we will notify users in the app or by email.
